Together we can make a change!
Mental health affects so many of us. In fact, around 1 in 2 Australian’s will suffer from mental health issues at some point in their lives, with women being more likely to be affected (ABS, 2008). Yet, with these alarming statistics, it is deemed a taboo subject to talk about. Why?
That’s why we have partnered with Australia’s leading online retailer, The ICONIC, to create an exclusive non-for-profit t-shirt, aimed at starting important conversations around women’s mental health, and break down the stigma that surrounds it.
Launching on September 12th, for R U OK? Day, the 100% cotton, embroidered t-shirts (available in grey marle and white) will be available exclusively on The ICONIC, with all proceeds from the t-shirts being donated to Headspace Australia, the National youth mental health foundation.
I started ‘This is me’ in 2017 with the aim to normalise the discussion around mental health and create a place of open and honest dialogue. After struggling with my own battles throughout my teenage years, I wanted to be able to help those going through similar things. I am so excited to launch the ‘This is me’ collaboration with The ICONIC, and help a much wider community of women in doing so.
So Grab a tee (or tea) and ask, ‘R U OK?’
